Sonic 3 has premiered with 88% positive reviews, being the highest of the trilogy and one of the best of all video game adaptations in history.
What do the critics say about Sonic 3?
But what does the criticism say about Sonic 3? Let’s look at some of the main reviews:
“Sonic the Hedgehog 3 defies the rule of diminishing returns of sequels by leveraging the strengths of the first two movies to deliver a fun family film perfect for Christmas” – Richard Crouse
“If they gave awards for the best performance of Jim Carrey playing Jim Carrey alongside another Jim Carrey in a video game franchise about a blue hedgehog, it would be a sure candidate” – Neil Pond, Neil’s Entertainment Picks
“It allows Carrey to be Carrey in every sense, and he delights in doing so as much as we enjoy watching him. It allows us to completely escape for 109 minutes and laugh the entire time” – Mark Hughes, Forbes
“Setting aside the frenetic action and zany comedy, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has heart and is aware that it doesn’t always ‘have to go fast’, occasionally slowing down the pace to ensure we care about these characters while presenting its themes with touching sincerity” – Robert Kojder, Flickering Myth
