Cadillac has introduced a price cut on its most affordable electric vehicle, the Optiq, making it an even more attractive option for potential buyers.
Launched less than two months ago, the Optiq now features reduced lease prices, falling by nearly $100 a month, which is a substantial decrease of around 20% since its introduction.
This new arrangement brings the monthly lease price down to just $399 for a 24-month term, with an initial payment of $4,929 due at signing.
The Optiq matches the Tesla Model Y
With a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $54,390, the Cadillac Optiq stands out against the backdrop of the brand’s more expensive electric offerings, such as the Escalade IQL and the Vistiq, which carry hefty price tags of over $130,000 and $77,000, respectively.
The Optiq is equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack, providing a driving range of up to 302 miles, and fast charging capabilities that add approximately 79 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
In terms of size, the Optiq matches the Tesla Model Y, with dimensions of 190 inches long, 75 inches wide, and 65 inches tall. Inside, the vehicle boasts a segment-leading cargo space of 57 cubic feet and a massive 33-inch infotainment display, enhancing the user experience for those seeking both luxury and practicality in an electric SUV.
Cadillac’s lease deal for the Optiq, which runs through March 31, comes with some stipulations, including a $2,000 loyalty or conquest offer for lessees of 2020 model year or newer non-GM vehicles.
The deal also extends to electric vehicles from competitors like Tesla, Rivian, and Ford, further broadening the appeal to potential customers.
As GM continues to roll out enticing deals on its electric vehicle lineup, including Chevrolet models like the Equinox and Silverado EV, the automotive giant aims to attract a wider range of consumers into the EV market.
