Capcom has confirmed the start of the second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled for February 6 at 7 p.m. PT and ending on February 9 at 6:59 p.m. PT. This beta will offer players an opportunity to experience significant improvements before the official game release, scheduled for February 28. For those who cannot participate in this beta, there will be a second opportunity from February 13 to 16.
Among the most notable news, the return of two iconic monsters from Monster Hunter 4 has been announced: Gore Magala and Nerscylla. Additionally, a new monster is introduced: Hirabami, which inhabits a new location called Iceshard Cliffs, showcasing an unexplored aspect of the game’s environment.
Another interesting point is the inclusion of Arkveld, the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Wilds, in a new “advanced mission” that will allow players to face it for the first time. This mission represents an evolution in the complexity of combat and the game’s narrative.
A Completely Refined Experience
The beta will also offer an online single-player mode, providing the option of SOS signal assistance, which promises to make the experience more accessible. Additionally, new customization options for the camp were introduced, along with a more comprehensive hunting profile and a training area that will benefit those who prefer to play solo.
After testing a recent version of the game for five hours, a user commented that practically all the issues detected in the previous beta had been resolved, suggesting a more refined experience aligned with fans’ expectations. Reportedly, with these advancements, Monster Hunter Wilds could position itself as a spiritual sequel to Monster Hunter World.
