The popular survival and sandbox game, Core Keeper, is set to receive a significant update titled Bags & Blasts, which will be released for free on March 10, 2024. This patch marks the first major addition since the game left early access, and promises a renewed experience focused on explosions and inventory management.
Among the main new features is an explosives skill tree, which introduces eight new skills and a variety of bombs, including the Void Bomb, which creates a devastating vacuum, and the Blunder Bomb, known for its multiple explosions. The update will allow players to increase the explosion radius, recover crafting components after using a bomb, and even restore some of their mana when detonating explosives, providing dynamic and strategic gameplay.
An update that streamlines inventory usage
Additionally, the update will also bring a much-anticipated pouch feature, allowing players to manage their inventory more efficiently. These new accessories provide dedicated spots for storing resources, thus facilitating organization and freeing up valuable space. A quick access bar swap system will also be implemented, allowing players to select which inventory row they want to have on hand.
For those seeking additional challenges, a new boss named Nimruza, Queen of the Buried Sands, will be introduced in a new sub-biome titled Oasis. This battle promises to be one of the biggest confrontations in the game to date, and it is recommended to arrive prepared with an arsenal of bombs and teammates.
With these additions, Core Keeper reaffirms itself as a constantly evolving title, offering its community more and more ways to interact and enjoy the gaming experience.
