Peripeteia is a promising indie immersive simulation game that takes players to a deteriorated post-Soviet world, where they assume the role of a cyborg mercenary looking for jobs in a city full of peculiar characters, such as thugs with gas masks and talkative bartenders. This title, which has been compared to classics like Deus Ex and Ghost in the Shell, promises to offer a critical experience where tactics, cunning, and brute force are essential to survive.

The early access version of Peripeteia will be released on February 21, a day that coincides with the publication of the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels, adding an interesting layer of symbolism to the launch. According to the game’s description on its Steam page, players will need to use their wits and combat skills to complete missions immersed in conspiracies and mysteries, which promises to make the game a deeply interactive and adaptable experience.

A game with everything we expect from a great immersive sim

Among the mechanics that can be explored in Peripeteia are climbing through vents and roofs, accepting jobs from dubious characters, and a series of hacking minigames. The game’s narrative is designed so that the player can choose different approaches when tackling challenges, whether through stealth strategies or direct and violent actions.

Since its initial demonstration in 2021, Peripeteia has generated great interest in the gaming community, especially for its cyberpunk aesthetic and elements reminiscent of the best works of the genre. With its release scheduled for soon, the anticipation continues to grow, marking Peripeteia as one of the most anticipated indie titles of the year.
