Last week saw Facebook reach over 2 billion users globally. This week sees the social media giant announcing that they’ll soon be rolling out a very handy feature to each and every one of their users. The Find Wi-Fi feature is a Facebook mobile app feature that gives Android and iPhone users a list of all available Wi-Fi hotspots that have been registered with Facebook.

Find Wi-Fi received a limited launch in only a handful of countries but it has worked well enough for Facebook to roll out to all of their 2 billion plus users worldwide. Facebook believe it’ll be useful for, “People who are traveling or on-the-go, but especially useful in areas where cellular data is scarce.”

The feature is easy enough to use and results can be shown either as a list or on a map. All you have to do is open your Facebook app and click on the More tab. You’ll then find the Find Wi-Fi option. You’ll be able to learn more about the business that is hosting the hotspot and even get directions for getting their quickly.
