Fortnite has launched a new five-week season centered around the iconic Star Wars saga, marking an exciting turn for fans of the popular battle royale. Epic Games will introduce new elements and skins related to the Star Wars universe, along with a Lego Pass that will include themed builds. However, for players eager to explore these new features, they should keep in mind that Fortnite servers are offline for maintenance due to the update.
A downtime that should end soon
This downtime, estimated to be around four hours, is common during the launch of new seasons. Epic Games has indicated that the servers could reactivate at 12 noon, Spanish mainland time, although in previous launches the wait has been significantly longer. The previous season was marked by the brief introduction of new items such as the Kneecapper and the Rocket Drill, as well as the inclusion of singer Sabrina Carpenter as the headliner of a festival. Now, those elements are left behind and fans are preparing to dive into the Star Wars theme.
Throughout this brief season, several activities are expected within the game, although the alternative modes will not be infused with the Star Wars theme, allowing titles like Reload and OG to continue with their usual content. Additionally, Epic surprised everyone by announcing the new season two weeks early at Star Wars Celebration, breaking their usual pattern of reveals.
For those who are waiting for the return of the servers, alternative activities such as going out to enjoy the outdoors or resting are suggested. This mix of anticipation and new features has created a wave of excitement among players. With the arrival of the new battle pass and a fresh lineup of Star Wars skins, the Fortnite community is ready for a renewed experience.
