Harry Potter fans can breathe easy: everything seems to indicate that the highly successful RPG Hogwarts Legacy will have a sequel. That’s what the latest rumors suggest, at least.

Hogwarts Legacy DOWNLOAD

The source of this news is the user MyTimeToShineHello, a well-known profile with a track record of revealing information about movies. As you can imagine, both Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have remained silent and have not made any contributions regarding this claim. Additionally, Avalanche recently posted a job listing that did not specify the project being worked on. Is this another possible clue about the “sequel” to Hogwarts Legacy?

The truth is, they have plenty of reasons to continue delving into the famous school of magic and wizardry. Hogwarts Legacy is, to date, the best-selling game of 2023 and has reported revenues of 1.3 billion dollars. Both critics and the public have ended up falling in love with a game that has not been without controversy, partly due to the controversies surrounding its author, J.K. Rowling.

For now, we are still far from even knowing the release timeframe for this supposed sequel. Warner Bros. Discovery’s CEO, David Zaslav, has spoken on other occasions about the company’s strong commitment to developing a “perfect” title, even if it takes more time than expected.

Hogwarts Legacy and its Nintendo Switch version

No doubt, we are in a memorable year in the history of video games. Hogwarts Legacy has been the flagship of this 2023, followed by titans like Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, Baldur’s Gate 3, or the long-awaited Starfield. And yet, there’s still plenty of magic to come.

In addition to the sequel, Avalanche Software is still in the process of developing the Nintendo Switch version. After numerous delays, Hogwarts Legacy will finally be released on the Nintendo console on November 14th. Although it was originally scheduled for July 25th, the company decided to postpone the release in order to provide “the best possible experience.”
