That Harry Potter fans can be a bit tiresome is something we already know. And if not, just ask the current owners of the home of the Dursleys. Better known as number 4 Privet Drive in the books, it’s the place where Harry lives with his cousin Dudley, his aunt Petunia, and his uncle Vernon until he attends Hogwarts at the age of 11.

After his first year at the iconic school of witchcraft and wizardry, 4 Privet Drive continues to play a crucial role in the story. After all, it’s where Harry lives during his summer vacations.

Potterheads know that number 4 Privet Drive is a very special place, and many of them visit the real house to see it in person. However, this doesn’t seem to please the current owners. In an interview with The Sun, they explain that visitors “get teary-eyed” and that “sometimes they dress up and reenact scenes.”

For them, it’s “hard to get used to… people come in groups and stay all day, even at night… and most people knock on the door and ask to take a photo.”

In the end, it’s logical that many fans would want to visit 4 Privet Drive. It is the setting for some of the most special moments in the saga, such as Dumbledore leaving baby Harry on the Dursleys’ doorstep, marking the beginning of the story. It is also where Ron, Fred, and George rescue Harry with the help of the flying car. If given the opportunity, would you visit 4 Privet Drive?
