It never ceases to be curious how, as the years go by, new details of video games that came out a long time ago are discovered. The last one has starred Gran Turismo 4, the famous driving video game owned by PlayStation and developed by Polyphony Digital.

A user on Twitter, under the pseudonym Nenkai, has published a video that leaves no doubt: he has discovered new tricks to get endless prizes in the game.

According to this player, for these tricks to work it is necessary that more than 365 days have passed in the game. Once this time has elapsed, all you have to do is enter the following combinations to unlock the rewards:

  • 10,000,000 credits: Select, Left, Right, Right, Right, Down, Up, Up, Left, Down, Up, Right, Left, Down, L1, R1, Select.
  • Pass a license: Select, R1, Select, R1, Select, L2, L2, L2, R2, R2, R2, L1, Select, Select.
  • Get the gold in a given event in the licenses: Select, Select, R1, R2, L2, L2, L2, Select, L1, R1, Select, R2, L1, Select.
  • Get the gold in any event: Select, L1, Up, Up, Select, R1, Down, Down, Select, L2, Select, R2, Select.

As a result of this tweet, many users have wondered how many tricks are hidden in the PlayStation 2 video game and are still undiscovered. After all, we are talking about a title that is not only almost two decades old, but also completely out of print and unplayable except by user emulation.

At the moment, Gran Turismo is already in its seventh installment, an edition that was released last year for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 with a great reception by the public (although subsequent patches sowed some commotion, all said). Will its creator pronounce after discovering these tricks?
