The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for the fall of 2025, and it will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Since the first images were presented in December 2023, Rockstar Games has kept a low profile, leaving fans waiting for more news about the highly anticipated game. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, has been questioned about the development of GTA 6, but he has not provided details about the release of a second trailer.
Such silence is a conscious decision
During a recent talk with Wall Street Week, Zelnick explained that the extensive wait time is due to the inherent complexity of developing such an ambitious experience as GTA 6. According to his statements, Rockstar Games strives for perfection in every aspect of their work, a standard they consider crucial for generating enormous anticipation among fans. Zelnick made it clear that fall 2025 remains the timeframe set for the game’s release.
As the release date approaches, Rockstar’s silence has left many wanting more information about the game and its setting, which will return to the iconic city of Vice City. However, it seems that until the exact day of GTA 6’s arrival is determined, players will have to wait patiently. Some rumors suggest that the second trailer could arrive closer to the release date, although there have been no confirmations on this so far.
The development of GTA 6 is taking more time compared to GTA V, which was released several years ago. This willingness of the company to deliver a polished and quality product to the public is undoubtedly one of the aspects that fans value most about Rockstar Games, despite the prolonged wait.
