Add one more player to the streaming wars. Next spring, WarnerMedia is jumping into the fray with HBO Max.
When the service launches, it will have 10,000 hours of content.
- All 236 episodes of “Friends”
- All episodes of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”
- All episodes of “Pretty Little Liars”
HBO Max will also be the exclusive streaming service for any Warner Bros.-produced shows that air on The CW. That includes the upcoming “Batwoman” series.
You’ll also find originals from Warner Bros., New Line, DC Entertainment, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, and Looney Tunes.
The platform will also include four new young adult films from producer Greg Berlanti. Reese Witherspoon will produce at least two films for HBO Max.
HBO Max is entering an increasingly savage streaming ecosystem that includes current heavy hitters like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, but upcoming competition from Disney+, Quibi, and NBC’s still-unnamed platform.
