Henry Cavill has been, for many years, the reference Superman for everyone. And even though his ending as the caped hero wasn’t the best possible, he has had the opportunity to experiment with other characters, like Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, to prove that he is a full-fledged Hollywood hero.

Now, Cavill has just shown that he is not only a hero on screen, but also off screen. During the filming of his upcoming movie, The Ministry of War Without Knights, the actor saved the life of a colleague who was about to drown.

Henry Cavill’s next movie promises to bring him back as an action hero

In an interview for ET Online, actor Alex Pettyfer, who co-stars with Cavill in the movie, explained that he almost had an accident during filming, but was saved by Cavill: “He saved me from falling off a boat. I almost drowned! So I can officially say that Henry saved my life. And I’m very grateful to be in this movie with him.”

Pettyfer has had more words of gratitude for Cavill as an actor, with whom he seems to have forged a beautiful friendship: “Henry has a way of being based on quality and unity. There is no hierarchy. He brings humility to the set with everyone. It was a great honor to see how a number one treats all cast and crew members so well.”

The Ministry of War Without Knights is the upcoming movie by Guy Ritchie that Cavill and Pettyfer will star in. Set to be released on April 19th, the synopsis makes it clear that it will be a great epic adventure of WWII: “The British army recruits a small group of elite soldiers to attack the Nazis behind enemy lines during World War II“.
