Intel's new graphics card could be the expected revolution… but not in gaming

In a recent presentation, Intel revealed its Intel Arc B-570 and B-580 graphics cards, two entry-level models available in 10 and 12 GB memory versions, respectively.

With these graphs, Intel aims to position itself in the market for users who require affordable solutions with a good quality-price ratio. This launch comes in a context where competition with NVIDIA and AMD is fierce, especially in the high-end segment.

The rumors about a possible release of the BMG-G31 model, which would feature 24 GB of GDDR6 memory, have resurfaced.

Intel’s Strategy Shift: Focus on AI and GPUs for Workstations

Initially, it was thought that this model would not see the light of day, however, it has been mentioned again and could be related to the B750, B770, or B780 graphics, suggesting that Intel still has plans for a launch that will shake up the high-performance market.

The BMG-G31, as detailed in the reports, would be designed for tasks in workstations and would use the same GPU as the current B-570 and B-580.

Despite the fact that it seems Intel’s focus is on artificial intelligence applications and graphics for workstations, the company has been updating the drivers for its iGPU 130V and 140V, which have shown to improve performance by up to 18% in terms of FPS. This trend could also influence the performance of future dedicated graphics from the brand.

The competitive horizon for graphics cards is shaping up to be more intense by May 2025, when NVIDIA plans to launch the RTX 5060 and AMD the Radeon RX 9060 XT.

Given this scenario, it is speculated that Intel may delay the launch of its B-7xx line until after the summer, possibly even until CES 2026, to ensure a solid offering in a market already saturated with highly competitive options.
