John Cena, the famous actor and former WWE wrestler, will arrive as a playable golfer in PGA Tour 2K23, 2K Games itself has confirmed. Fans of golf and wrestling will be able to enjoy the charismatic actor starting April 7, when he joins basketball stars Michael Jordan and Steph Curry.
If anyone was expecting John Cena to get his ass kicked by golf balls, they may be disappointed: instead, we’ll see him walking around in red, blue and white attire in honor of his character, Peacemaker (who we previously saw in Suicide Squad and the HBO series, Peacemaker).
As you can see, John Cena is not a professional golfer, but his inclusion is likely to be of interest to the general public. In addition, John Cena’s release coincides with the release of EA Sports PGA Tour, which we don’t think is a coincidence.
According to 2K, Cena will kick off a new series of content for PGA Tour 2K23, with more golfers and courses on the way. In fact, we already know that pro golfer Nelly Korda will make her debut in the title alongside golfers from the Barstool Sports Foreplay podcast. They will be joined by the new Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Pinehurst No. 2, Eastside Golf equipment and more.
