Konami‘s Hideo Kojima has confirmed that the two Metal Gear Solid 5 games, Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, will be released for PC through Steam.

No release dates have been announced, but as Ground Zeroes is already available on consoles, we might expect it sometime this year. The Phantom Pain is more likely for 2015. The announcement came during Konami’s Twitch broadcast ‘Metal Gear Preview Party’, which featured the game’s protagonist Snake creeping around a box decorated with the Steam logo.

You can see 20 minutes of The Phantom Pain gameplay below.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is a kind of opening act for The Phantom Pain, and while it was heavily criticized for its length, it’s an impressive and surprisingly deep game with incredible graphics, animation and enemy AI.
