Microsoft will hold a special event about Copilot on Monday, September 16th at 11:00 AM EST, where “the next phase of Copilot innovation” will be presented. Hosted by the company’s CEO, Satya Nadella, and the Vice President of AI at Work, Jared Spataro, this session called “Wave 2” will focus on Copilot’s enterprise offerings, and will be livestreamed on LinkedIn.
One of the most anticipated details is the name change that will affect the entire range of Copilot products. Instead of using names like “Copilot in Word,” it will be adopted as “Microsoft 365 Copilot in Word.” This is a step that reflects a rebranding strategy of the company, and will also transform “Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365” into “Microsoft 365 Copilot.”
In addition to the name change, it is also expected that new features will be announced for Microsoft 365 Copilot, with the aim of attracting more companies to its $30 per-user-per-month subscription model. Although Copilot has already been integrated into applications like Word and other Office tools, some companies still doubt if the high subscription price is worth it.
In addition, there could be news for Copilot Pro, the consumer version of the AI, which currently has a price of $20 per month, but has not issued many updates since its launch earlier this year.
