Minecraft has released a new free update for its free DLC pack Planet Earth, which aims to enhance the game’s possibilities in terms of nature. In fact, in this patch, which includes new animals, you will be able to be an animal yourself and embody any of your favorite species that exist within the Minecraft universe.
The Planet Earth mode of Minecraft, which aims to approach the game from a more educational perspective, allows players to enjoy an environment full of unique fauna and flora, thanks to the collaboration with BBC Earth in this project.
A very “beastly” patch
In the most literal sense of the word, being a DLC that allows the user to control animals in first person, it can be said that this Minecraft update is quite “beastly”. In fact, that is the main reason why the third DLC of the free Planet Earth pack is called “Perspectives”, since taking on the perspective of animals will be a reality thanks to this update.
This update, in this way, will allow the player to see through the eyes of a shark, or move through the steppes as a leopard, or enjoy the experience of any other animal that is part of Planet Earth, such as polar bears, or even bees and grasshoppers.
Competition gets tougher
In recent months, a powerful contender has arrived to shake the great dominance that Minecraft has in the survival genre. The reason, Epic Games released LEGO Fortnite last December, a new game mode that completely changes the original premise of Fortnite, allowing players to enjoy a survival environment where the world is created with LEGO.
It is impossible not to find the parallels with the Minecraft format, especially when considering that it is a gameplay with similar ideas, construction and cubes are part of their respective universes, and also, you can play with friends. That is why Minecraft, now more than ever, must avoid relaxing and resting on its laurels, because the popularity of LEGO Fortnite has been meteoric since its launch.
