Nicolas Cage has played a maniac on numerous occasions, recently portrayed Dracula, and even played himself, turning the meme into something tangible and playing along with it. But, believe it or not, Nicolas Cage‘s craziest movie has yet to be made, and it is set to be released very soon.

Dream Scenario is based on a real story. For several years, a man’s face has appeared in the dreams of thousands of people, as many have reported online. So director Kristoffer Borgli wanted to turn this into a horror story, and that’s how the movie that will close the upcoming Sitges Film Festival was born. Check out the trailer:

What is Dream Scenario about?

Produced by A24 (known for films like Midsommar, The Whale, Everything Everywhere All at Once), the movie tells the story of an ordinary university professor who suddenly starts appearing in people’s dreams. Initially, this becomes a viral phenomenon that everyone, including himself, finds amusing. However, it quickly evolves into a nightmare for everyone involved.

The film is set to be released in the United States on November 10th, and it will premiere at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain. While we don’t have an official release date for Spain’s theaters yet, it’s worth noting that Nicolas Cage is not the only notable actor in the cast; other prominent actors also join the main ensemble.

The most famous of all of them is Michael Cera, whom we recently saw in “Barbie” with his great role as Allan. And alongside him, there will also be Julianne Nicholson and Tim Meadows. Undoubtedly, it seems like a very strange movie that could surprise the audience, and certainly, the signature of Kristoffer Borgli helps build trust.
