NBA 2K25 and Balatro+ are just some of the new games arriving on Apple Arcade in October

Apple has announced new additions to its gaming platform, Apple Arcade, with the addition of five new titles. Among them, NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition and Balatro+ stand out, promising to capture the attention of a good number of players. The list of games, available from late September and early October, is completed with Food Truck Pup+, Furistas Cat Cafe+ and Smash Hit+.

NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition: basketball comes to life on the screen

One of the most anticipated releases is undoubtedly NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition, which will be available for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV starting on October 3rd. In this new installment, the basketball saga takes us to a new level with the inclusion of The Neighborhood, a completely explorable area that combines street basketball courts and shops. This space allows us to face off in one-on-one or three-on-three matches, as well as participate in side missions and unlock additional content.

In this version, the MyCAREER mode has been updated to offer an even more personalized experience, allowing us to create and develop our characters with new customization options. On the other hand, The Association remains a key feature, with improvements that now allow us to manage teams and leagues in a more strategic way. In addition, the revamped Greatest mode invites us to relive iconic moments from basketball legends.

Balatro+: Poker with a rogue twist

Another standout title in the new Apple Arcade lineup is Balatro+, a deck-building game inspired by poker and with a rogue mechanism that will be available on September 26th. Developed by the independent studio LocalThunk and published by Playstack, Balatro+ combines the creation of poker hands with wildcard cards that have unique abilities, allowing us to build diverse synergies and strategies.

The objective of the game is to accumulate enough chips to surpass the opponents and defeat the fearsome ‘blinds,’ while uncovering hidden hands and decks. The combination of classic poker mechanics with roguelike elements and a visually somewhat psychedelic world makes it a truly interesting proposal within the Apple Arcade catalog.

Other titles in a constantly expanding catalog

In addition to NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition and Balatro+, Apple Arcade is preparing to receive three other games that expand the variety of genres available on the platform. Food Truck Pup+ is a charming simulation game where players manage a crepe business with canine chefs, while Furistas Cat Cafe+ invites us to create and customize our own cafe full of adorable cats.

Finally, Smash Hit+ challenges us to overcome obstacles through 50 unique rooms with 11 different graphic styles. The combination of physics and musical rhythm make this game a hypnotic and challenging proposal.
