Netflix has an impressive catalog when it comes to animation. The streaming platform has produced series like Arcane or Bojack Horseman, and even won the Oscar for Best Animated Film with Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio. However, this year there is another film that is nominated for awards and has surprised everyone: Nimona.

The futuristic film by Troy Quane and Nick Bruno is one of Netflix’s biggest hits this year, so the platform wanted to celebrate it in a surprising way. They have uploaded the entire movie with free access on YouTube, so anyone who does not have a subscription to Netflix can watch it.

Why you should watch Nimona

Based on the comic by ND Stevenson, Nimona tells the story of how, in a futuristic medieval world, knight Ballister Blackheart is accused of a crime he didn’t commit, and the only person who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona, a mischievous teenager with a penchant for chaos… who also happens to be the shapeshifting being he must destroy.

But since the whole kingdom is after him, Nimona is the best ally (or rather the only one) that Ballister can aspire to. So, as the line between heroes, villains, and monsters blurs, the pair wreak havoc left and right so that Ballister can clear his name.
