There are few things better than competing with your friends to see who gets more hooked.

It’s that time of the year when one must show off all those hours spent in front of the computer/console playing their favorite video games. While on PC we don’t have that option from the clients, the story is different on consoles.
Sony’s 2023 summary is now available. Similar to music streaming services, this summary reflects your gaming habits on PS5 or PS4 from the past year.
The new version summarizes your most played games, tallies your total hours, and assigns an algorithmically generated “play style.” It’s, so to speak, like Spotify’s Wrapped. Get ready for social media to flood with your friends’ year summaries.
A great curiosity that turns into a marketing campaign
From a commercial standpoint, these year-end reviews also serve as social media marketing. That’s why Sony has created easily shareable digital cards that describe your habits for 2023. We even shared it via Twitter.
You can view your PlayStation 2023 summary by visiting Sony’s official website and logging in with your account. Generate cards summarizing your most played games, earned trophies, monthly gaming statistics, and your personalized style.

At the bottom of the user interface, a button will display the cards for sharing with friends or followers. Sony will also recommend games that you haven’t purchased yet but align with your personalized style. Naturally, they wouldn’t miss the chance to do business with this summary.
The company mentions that the recap is only available if you’ve played games on a PS5 or PS4 for at least 10 hours from January 1st to December 31st.
Furthermore, if you didn’t opt-in for the “Full Data” collection in the PS5 settings or “Additional Data” on PS4 systems in specific regions, you won’t be able to use the promotional feature.
Sony also offers as a reward a “unique avatar” and a digital PlayStation Stars collectible of a Spider-Bot from the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise.
