The Outlast Trials will launch user-generated content on April 22

The next major update for The Outlast Trials is scheduled for April 22 and introduces user-generated content (UGC) for the first time, a highly anticipated feature by fans of the game.

Thanks to the Trial Maker tools, players will be able to create and share their own missions, allowing for both solo and cooperative gameplay. This update is part of a larger project called Project Relapse.

In the context of this update, players will be given the opportunity to experience a reimagining of the game’s ending.

Meet the Jaeger: a new hybrid enemy in The Outlast Trials that raises the bar

The new mechanics of the Relapse Initiative will allow players to reset their level in exchange for permanent upgrades, a similar option to the prestige system in other titles. This change requires players to reach a new maximum therapy level, which increases from 75 to 99 with the arrival of season 3.

In addition, players will face a new enemy known as The Jaeger, a human-machine hybrid that resembles Amelia, a character from the previous game who attempted to destroy the Murkoff operation.

This new antagonist is designed to intensify the challenges present in the game’s narrative, as Dr. Easterman, the main villain of the plot, will seek revenge on the players for their past actions.

Season 3 will also include a new map called Suburbs and new challenges in the form of MK-Challenges. In response to community requests, the option to blur representations of nudity has been implemented, which could minimize the risk of the game’s content being flagged on streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

With these additions, The Outlast Trials will continue to offer exciting and terrifying experiences to its players, while incorporating greater community interaction in content creation.
