Schwarzenegger would like to make another Predator movie, but only with the right script

Arnold Schwarzenegger, one of the most iconic figures in 80s action cinema, has reaffirmed his interest in reprising his role as the mercenary in the Predator franchise, although so far he has not received proposals that convince him. Despite his legendary status, the actor has been honest in pointing out that the ideas presented have not met his expectations.

Director Shane Black, who was in charge of the 2018 Predator reboot, confirmed that there have been conversations with Schwarzenegger about his possible participation. However, the Terminator actor mentioned that the proposal lacked substance, suggesting that his inclusion would have been just a cameo without significant relevance to the plot. This reinforces the idea that Schwarzenegger is looking for projects that offer him a greater challenge and not merely tributes to his former glory.

Despite the scarcity of recent leading roles, Schwarzenegger’s career has experienced a resurgence thanks to Fubar, a Netflix series in which he plays a CIA agent on the brink of retirement. The series has been well received and has shown that the actor’s charisma continues to captivate audiences. At 76 years old, Schwarzenegger remains fit and continues to explore the world of entertainment.

Currently, the actor has up to seven projects in the works, notably Kung Fury II and The Legend of Conan, although the future of the latter seems uncertain. With these projects in progress and his desire to return to more significant roles, fans continue to eagerly await the next stage of his illustrious career. But for now, it seems that Predator will follow very different paths.
