How to install houses from The Sims 4 Gallery
Before we start downloading, let’s show you how to install Sims 4 houses. All the houses you’ll find in this article belong to the game’s Gallery, a space where players from all over the world share their creations. Thanks to it, installing houses in the game is really easy.
To add a home from the Gallery, simply go to the tab of the home you like. From this page you will see the name of the user who created the lot, its popularity in the form of “Likes” and a section with comments from other users. If you like the house, follow these steps:
- Click on the “Add to my Downloads” button.
- Wait for the download to finish
- If the house has been installed successfully, you will see a gear above the folder icon
- Move the plot to any of the neighborhoods in the game.
- Enjoy your new home.
How to install houses that have not been downloaded from the Sims 4 Gallery
Not all the houses in The Sims 4 are in the shared gallery of the game and it is likely that you will find one that has made you feel good in some mods website. Installing them is very simple, just follow these steps:
Step 1: Download the Sims 4 house of your choice
The first step is to download the desired batch to your computer. These are usually in ZIP format so you will need a program to decompress this type of files. We especially recommend WinZip and WinRAR.

Step 2: Unzip the ZIP file
Once you have the file in your computer you will have to unzip its content in the following address “Documents / Electronic Arts/ The Sims 4/ Tray”.
If the plot you are adding includes custom content you will see that inside the ZIP file there will be an additional folder with Mods. Copy its content into “Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods”. Make sure you have activated the Mods of the game. You will find them in The Sims 4 Options menu and after clicking on the “Others” option
Step 3: Find the site in the game library
Once you have your plot in the correct location, load the game and go to My Library (you will find it in the Sims gallery). Now simply place the plot in the neighborhood of your choice and start enjoying your new mansion.

If after downloading the lot and adding it to your Sims’ neighborhood you realized that you don’t have enough simoleons to buy them, don’t worry. Fortunately The Sims 4 has many tricks at your service with which you can enjoy the game even more without having to spend hours in front of the console or PC. One of these tricks allows you to get all the simoleons you need in just a few seconds.
To get all the money you want in The Sims 4 you first need to access the cheat console of the game (press the keys Ctrl + Shift + C). You will see a command line appear on the screen where you must type the word “motherlode” and press enter. If you have done this step correctly, nothing more and nothing less than 50,000 simoleons will be instantly added to your Sim’s pocket, so you will be able to buy any property without any problems. If you see that you still don’t have enough money, repeat this trick until you get the necessary amount. It’s as simple as that!
