Sydney Sweeney is becoming, on her own merits, one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. From her success in the romantic comedy Anyone But You to the rumors that place her as the Black Cat in Spider-Man 4, it is clear that the actress is not lacking suitors in the film industry. Now, however, she has just accepted a role that could elevate her even further.
As reported by Deadline, Sydney Sweeney will portray the legendary American boxer Christy Martin in a dramatic biopic that could take her to the top. Directed by filmmaker David Michôd, the film will seek to portray her personal life in her career as a boxer, which spans from 1989 to 2012.

The most authentic Sweeney movie
In this movie, Sweeney will play a boxer who became one of the most popular in the nineties, even holding the welterweight and super welterweight titles, whatever that means. In fact, Martin was the first woman to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine and to sign a contract with the famous promoter Don King. A sports legend that will have a movie worthy of her and apparently, it will seek distribution at the upcoming Cannes International Film Festival.
