Secret Invasion has become a pleasant surprise for Marvel Studios. Although its audience figures are not the highest, it is one of the best Disney Plus fictions so far. Now, the series is about to reach its finale and reveal what its consequences will be for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But what will we find at the end of Secret Invasion and what will happen with the war between Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir)? While we wait for the final episode of the series, the truth is that there is still much to be decided in the future of Secret Invasion.
The Skrull Invasion could finally be carried out
The series has been determined from the first moment by the Skrull Invasion of Gravik, who has rebelled against the Earth and have been provoking attacks to generate a world war in which they could take advantage to infiltrate in the most important powers of the world.
Along the way there have been such striking casualties as Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), who was a very important character at the beginning of the UCM. And in the latest episode we’ve already reached a definitive diatribe. In the last episode, Nick Fury revealed that he took samples from most of Earth’s heroes, including Captain Marvel, and Gravik has wanted to take advantage of this to take over the planet with modified super skrulls.
Now, Gravik has asked Fury for the samples to carry out his plan, and the alternative is no better: to provoke a third world war between the United States and Russia altogether. In addition, it has been revealed that during all this time Rhodey Rhodes (War Machine) is actually a Skrull named Raava. Thus, everything is against Fury and peace.
In the final episode of the season we see how this all ends. What is clear, however, is that the series will shape the future of the UCM, and cause us to arrive at the future Avengers: Secret Wars in a way we never expected before.
