Witch Hat Atelier is one of the most popular mangas in recent years. Created in 2016 by Kamome Shirahama, it is a top-notch seinen that has captivated audiences from Japan to the world. Now, we will finally see its anime adaptation by BUG FILMS, who previously premiered Zom 100: Zombie ni Naru made ni Shitai 100 no Koto.
Straight to Crunchyroll, this anime is scheduled to premiere in 2025, although it has been in production for over two years. At the moment, we don’t know much more about what the series will be like, but we already have a first trailer where we can see what it will be like.
What is Witch Hat Atelier about?
Witch Hat Atelier tells the story of Coco, a humble girl and daughter of a seamstress who dreams of becoming a witch, despite not having innate magical abilities. After meeting the wizard Qifrey, Coco discovers that magic is practiced by drawing runes with magical ink, which allows anyone to become a wizard. But, when she tries to practice magic unsupervised with a book sold by a mysterious wizard, she accidentally turns her mother into stone.
