It is clear that Netflix wants to have a good year after several setbacks in previous ones, and for that it relies on both fictions like the recently released Avatar: The Last Airbender, and on a science fiction series that seeks to exceed all expectations: The Three-Body Problem.
Directed by the creators of Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, the series is based on the worldwide bestseller by Chinese writer Liu Cixin. It was already an incredible phenomenon in the world of literature, and now the story wants to cross all kinds of borders thanks to Netflix’s high-budget series. Now the final trailer for the series has arrived, and it’s as epic as we expected:
The most anticipated series on Netflix
The Three-Body Problem will premiere on March 21st on Netflix, and it will do so with the author’s approval, who has made it clear that, despite being an adaptation and not a complete portrayal of the book, the series is treated with incredible care. The series begins in the context of the Chinese Cultural Revolution, when a secret military project sends signals into space to contact extraterrestrials. Soon, a civilization on the brink of destruction captures the signal and begins to plan its landing on Earth.
