If there is a series that has managed to live up to Game of Thrones since its ending, it is precisely its spin-off. House of the Dragon perfectly compressed the ingredients that made its predecessor series an unlimited success, and now that its original directors are premiering a new series on Netflix, HBO Max has decided to release the trailer for its second season.

The trailer for Season 2 of House of the Dragon is divided, however, into two different trailers. In each one, they make us choose a side: either the Blacks (Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen) or the Greens (Alicent Hightower and her children, Aegon and Aemond). As they both hint, a very tough war is coming in the next episodes.

The two new trailers of House of the Dragon also come with a confirmed release date. On June 16, 2024, we will see how Daemon and Rhaenyra rise up against their own family for the Iron Throne. Undoubtedly, the ending of the previous episodes made it clear that things were going to get tense… and these previews only confirm that we are facing a series that will not give us any respite at any time.

For now, we know that season 2 will have a total of eight episodes and will not have significant time jumps, as happened at the beginning of the first season. Now that it has gained momentum, the war of the Targaryens will be told just as all the fans are waiting for. However, we can start preparing ourselves, because if they follow George R.R. Martin’s original manuscript, the surprises will come like the trailers: twice as much.
