If you have been hooked to the Kings League via Twitch this year, the announcement made today by Gerard Piqué, president of the competition, has surely caught you by surprise.
The former F.C. Barcelona player has announced via Twitter that the Kings League and Queens League will be broadcast on Cuatro starting next season.
The Mediaset channel has acquired the rights to a competition that is followed by millions of people every weekend.
What is the agreement between Mediaset and the Kings League?
The agreement, which marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Mediaset and the production company Kosmos, founded and chaired by Gerard Piqué, includes the live broadcast on Cuatro of the best match of each round of the Kings League and the Queens League.
Mediaset España will broadcast on Cuatro several matches of the second split of the competition created by the former FC Barcelona defender together with some of Spain’s most famous youtubers and streamers, as well as its first women’s edition.
The agreement, which kicks off this weekend, includes the live broadcast on Cuatro, always at 8 p.m., of the most attractive match of each day of both leagues.
Mediaset España will also offer summaries of the games and the best moments of the pre-match and post-match programs, Chup Chup and After.
When Cuatro will start broadcasting the matches
This Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, at 8 p.m., the network will offer the PIO FC-Aniquiladoras FC match in the women’s league and the Porcinos FC-xBuyer Team match in the men’s league.
As you know, in both competitions, 12 teams play in 40-minute matches divided into two 20-minute halves, with some of the rules of traditional soccer but with important new features.
And the market closed last week. The league starts now and can now be followed on traditional television. This new entertainment looks a lot like the old one, doesn’t it?
