Certainly, Netflix has become a breeding ground for top-tier creators to come together and bring forth unique creations. However, we’ve never had such a powerful mix as the recent collaboration on the platform: the creator of Peaky Blinders and one of the directors of Stranger Things have joined forces for a miniseries.

Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders and other productions like Taboo and Shutter Island, has teamed up with Shawn Levy, known for Stranger Things as well as directing Deadpool 3 and Free Guy. Both are behind “All the Light We Cannot See,” a four-episode miniseries scheduled to premiere on November 2nd. Inside the trailer:

What is ‘All the Light We Cannot See’ about?

“All the Light We Cannot See” adapts the novel of the same title by Anthony Doerr. It is a book that has sold millions of copies worldwide, in addition to winning the Pulitzer Prize. Its story is emotional and valuable, filled with action and set in an outstanding historical context.

The miniseries takes us to World War II and follows Marie-Laure, a blind girl who, along with her father Daniel LeBlanc, flees the German occupation of Paris to prevent a very valuable diamond from falling into the dark hands of the Nazis.

LeBlanc and his daughter flee as best they can with the Gestapo hot on their heels and end up taking refuge in Saint-Malo, where they encounter Werner, a young man who gets along well with Marie-Laure but is soon recruited by the Hitler Youth.

The series boasts a star-studded cast: Mark Ruffalo (Hulk in the Marvel universe), Hugh Laurie (the protagonist of House), Louis Hofmann (whom we saw in Dark), Lars Eidinger (from Irma Vep), and Andrea Deck (from Homeland) headline the cast.
