From Rap to Warfare: Nicki Minaj Takes Center Stage in the Call of Duty Universe

Remember when ‘Call of Duty‘ was sold as a very serious FPS, practically a war making simulator? Well, times have changed. What at first were winks to movies like ‘Saving Private Ryan’, have now become real shows where the game is mixed with ‘Die Hard’, ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ or, why not, ‘Scream’.
Killing with rhythm
The latest to enter the ‘Call of Duty’ arena is Nicki Minaj, the hip hop singer, in a pack that also includes two new weapons and a vehicle. Of course, in pink, in the best ‘Barbie‘ style: in fact, the first female Operator in the franchise (in 2023, eh) leaves a pink trail wherever she goes. Oh, and watch out: she doesn’t arrive alone.
One of the singer’s special moves is to dig her heels into an enemy and leave him for dead, but it’s not the only one: she also has karate kicks, spinning punches and leaves confetti on her victims’ bodies. Killers, yes, but always cute. The pack will be available in ‘Warzone’ and ‘Modern Warfare 2’, and watch out, because Minaj will not be the only hip-hop singer to enter the ring.
Snoop Dogg is already available, and soon will be 21 Savage, in a collection that commemorates 50 years of Hip-Hop. These new skins will be able to see them against the Ninja Turtles, Terminator, King Kong or the protagonists of ‘The Boys’ and they can all be taken to ‘Modern Warfare 3‘ in what has already moved away from realism to give us an experience more similar to ‘Fortnite’, more horny, more festive and that fans of the original games will hate with all their souls.
Frankly, it’s their loss. Va Va Voom!
