Lennox Residential HVAC has introduced the new SL22KLV heat pump, specially designed for extreme climates and capable of operating in temperatures as low as -20 °C.
This innovative device uses a refrigerant with low global warming potential, R-454B, which minimizes environmental impact without sacrificing performance.
The SL22KLV promises efficiency levels that exceed those of conventional heat pumps by 150%, making it an attractive option for environmentally conscious consumers.
The future will need these heat pumps to fight against climate change
The SL22KLV heat pump is a significant improvement over previous models developed during the first phase of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Cold Climate Residential Heat Pump Technology Challenge. This new unit offers efficiency ratings of up to 21.10 SEER2, 13.2 EER2, and 10.50 HSPF2, establishing itself as one of the best in its category.
Equipped with a variable speed compressor and Electronic Refrigerant Injection (ERI), the SL22KLV automatically adjusts its energy consumption based on external conditions, which not only enhances the experience of keeping the home warm but also significantly reduces energy costs.
This system also includes a balanced direct action fan and a design that minimizes noise, allowing for silent operation of up to 58 decibels.
In addition, the SL22KLV is eligible for the Energy Efficiency Improvement Tax Credit and other possible state and local incentives, which can result in additional savings for homeowners. The units are now available for order through local Lennox distributors.
