Martin Scorsese will be more than happy at present for all the nominations his film Killers of the Flower Moon has received at this year’s Oscar Awards. However, even he would be jealous of everything that The Bear has achieved with its second season.

The series available on Disney Plus has maintained a remarkable level of success among critics and audiences since its release in 2022, winning six Emmy Awards at the latest ceremony. But the record it has achieved has nothing to do with its awards, but with how they use swear words in the series.

Fuck, fuck, fuck and so on up to 124 times

In the explosive season 2 finale of The Bear, the series used the word “fuck” 124 times in 40 minutes, matching Martin Scorsese’s record in The Wolf of Wall Street. But, although obscene language abounds in the series, it is effectively integrated into the high-intensity environment of the kitchens. Profanity reflects the reality of working environments in real kitchens and is considered a precise and essential part of the series.
