The Xokas is in the news again: the Galician streamer has turned Twitch and its way of handling things with the most popular content creators upside down. Known for his funas, his way of talking, and his brashness, he has made clear his opinion on Kick, which he describes as “promising”. Will we see the Xokas doing live from Kick in the near future?
For a few years now, Xokas has established himself as one of the biggest streamers in Spain, with thousands of subscribers and hours viewed. However, his success on Twitch has not helped him to have a better relationship with the platform and he may be making eyes at Kick.
Kick, Twitch’s new rival
During a live show, Xokas bet on Kick’s early success (the platform is offering a large amount of money to content creators). In addition, the Galician has confirmed that Mr. Beast, one of the biggest figures of the Internet, will go to Kick to create content there, which would be a big bombshell.
The Xokas is very tired of Twitch: in his words, they have never shown him “love”, even though he was one of the few creators who had not migrated from YouTube. With all this, he let slip that he wouldn’t mind moving to Kick: as of today, the Xokas doesn’t have any kind of contract with Twitch (like AuronPlay or Rubius), which would allow him to broadcast whenever he wanted from both places.
So what is it about Kick that has caused such a stir? Apart from the large sums of money that streamers would get (they would go on to earn 95% of each subscription, while on Twitch it is 50%), it also has less harsh rules. This has led to the fact that certain content such as betting and gambling can be transmitted without problems on Kick, something that is prohibited on Twitch.
For the moment, Xokas has not made it clear whether he will leave or not, but he has stated that he feels very burnt out from streaming. Will we finally see him on a new platform like Kick?
