During the celebration of CES 2024, we have witnessed the most innovative (and curious) technology that is currently being developed. Apps that analyze intestinal movements, smart appliances, and even a robotic butler: CES had it all.

However, one of the devices presented there has managed, with great merit, to attract all the attention, although we do not know if for the right reasons. We are talking about the AI-generated head of WeHead.

If you ever wondered what the face of ChatGPT would look like, here’s the answer. The invention by WeHead was showcased at Pepcom, a preview event that showcases what’s to come at CES 2024. Just its appearance, made up of multiple screens that simulate a face, is eye-catching.

The “brain” of the head is powered by ChatGPT and allows us to have a sort of conversation with it. Some of the attendees who were able to chat with WeHead’s head describe its voice as something inhuman: “it sounds very robotic, like Siri.” That’s how they describe it in Mashable.

The truth is that this product was not intended to become the face of ChatGPT. Initially, WeHead developed it as a device that would allow for three-dimensional video calls. However, it has now found another purpose, that of “materializing” AI. And it’s good for everything. According to the company, the head can be used as a teacher, caretaker, and even to clone celebrities.

The best thing about all this is that you can have it. WeHead has put its head up for sale for the modest price of $4,950. And if you see that it’s too much for your budget, WeHead also allows you to rent it for $199 per month. The company has also offered its invention to other companies so that they can test and experiment with it. Would you buy such an invention?
