A Tim Burton Style Game
The narrative of Withering Realms revolves around Clover, a 9-year-old girl turned ghost, who is accompanied by a mysterious guardian doll. Players will take control of this charming yet sinister character, whose mission is to unravel the mystery surrounding Clover’s death while exploring the ominous world of Penwyll, a city marked by occult events after the Great War.
The game’s combat system is one of its strong points; the character’s arm acts as an adaptable weapon, transforming into various forms such as a sword, machine gun, and even a flamethrower. Additionally, Withering Realms will include investigation mechanics through a detective character named Althea, which promises to add an extra layer of depth to the gaming experience.
As players progress, the game map will expand, allowing for confrontations with powerful guardians at the end of each region. This dynamic will enable players to return to the central city to trade with NPCs and improve their skills. With plans for an early access release at the end of 2025 for PC and future console versions, Withering Realms promises to be an intriguing experience that, while sharing a universe with Withering Rooms, presents itself as a fresh and exciting proposition. Details about its console release will be revealed as the game’s development progresses.
