Good and bad news for us Beyond Good & Evil fans. The good news is that we’ll soon have a 20th-anniversary edition of Beyond Good & Evil, but the bad news is that we still have no news about the sequel (and it doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting any soon).

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition has been leaked online during the past night. To be precise, the leak consisted of two parts. The first part revealed the achievements for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S versions, totaling 34 available achievements, which can still be viewed at this moment (be cautious of spoilers if you haven’t played the original release).

That was the initial step, but just a few hours ago, a significant mistake occurred rather than just a mere leak. The official game listing appeared on the Xbox page in full detail… and the game was even playable! Thanks to this information, we’ve learned that this new version will come with 60 frames per second, 4K resolution, improved graphics and audio, a speed-run mode for those seeking a challenge, an extensive catalog of original game arts, and the aforementioned achievements.

The listing has already been removed from the Microsoft website, but during the time it was available, some players were able to extract screenshots and play Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition. Through Ubisoft+, they even managed to record the first half-hour of gameplay, although the French company has taken down the videos.

Everything indicates that this edition of Beyond Good & Evil was supposed to be announced during The Game Awards for an instant purchase. However, it seems that a new mistake has deprived Geoff Keighley of enjoying this announcement.
