There is less time left to welcome the new year and therefore, what better occasion is there to remember the most highly rated games of 2024? Through Metacritic, we will see which titles have had the most impact on both critics and the community.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
The second installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake immerses us even further into the story of Cloud and company, while expanding the original story to new limits. Whether you’re a fan of the saga or experiencing it for the first time, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an experience worth enjoying. As of today, Rebirth has a Metascore of 92 and a User Score of 8.9.
Metaphor: ReFantazio
Once again, Atlus does not disappoint, and this year they have brought us one of the RPGs best rated by users (8.7 User Score). The creators of Persona return with their unique style to a medieval fantasy world full of life and with very striking designs. Additionally, its combat style combines traditional turn-based with real-time action, all wrapped in a great narrative.
Astro Bot
Astro Bot can undoubtedly be one of the best games that PS5 currently has (9.4 Meta Score). Belonging to the platform genre, Astro Bot takes us on an adventure that is pure fun and will also delight those who have grown up with Sony consoles over the years. Astro Bot makes the most of the Dual Sense like few games do and offers original and fun mechanics that you will surely love. An essential title for PS5 owners.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
The expansion that Elden Ring fans were waiting for and one of the best-rated on Metacritic (8.1 User Score). This DLC expands the game’s map with new areas, very challenging enemies, and boss battles that will make you want to throw your controller out the window. With Shadow of the Erdtree, FromSoftware once again reaffirms its leadership in a genre they themselves invented.
