To everyone’s surprise, there have been abundant leaks about the Pixel devices in recent months and we practically have all the key details about the new devices, including their specifications and regional prices.

This is what you can expect from tomorrow’s Made by Google 2024 Keynote:

A trio of Pixel 9 phones: two Pro models and an entry-level model

Google is ready to unify its line of Pixel smartphones in a similar way to what Apple has been doing for some years. Pixel 9 will be the entry-level equivalent to the base iPhone with a 6.3-inch OLED display (not LTPO) that will be upgraded to 120Hz and will feature slightly thicker bezels than its Pro counterparts.

The Pixel 9 Pro brings the Pro features (i.e., triple cameras) in a smaller size with the hope of attracting users who were previously reluctant to opt for the Pro version. It will also feature a 6.3-inch OLED display (this time LTPO) with thinner bezels than the standard Pixel 9, as well as a new shiny frame that could be made of stainless steel or titanium.

And the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be the true successor to last year’s Pixel 8 Pro with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display. The Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL are expected to come in Porcelain, Rose, Hazel (green), and Obsidian colors.

According to reports, the Pixel 9 will offer up to 12 GB of RAM, while the Pros can be configured with up to 16 GB of RAM. It is also rumored that the new phones will offer bidirectional satellite communication through the Exynos 5400 modem. Here is what it looks like now.

It is also expected that the batteries of the new phones will have a higher capacity: the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro will have 4,600 mAh cells, while the 9 Pro XL should reach 5,060 mAh. It is also expected that Google will bring faster charging support this time with up to 35W on the Pro 9 XL.

Regarding availability and price, it is expected that Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL can be pre-ordered directly after tomorrow’s event, while open sales should start on August 22nd.

  • Pixel 9 is expected to start at €750/€899 with 128 GB of storage and €894/€999 with 256 GB.
  • Pixel 9 Pro will cost €914/€1,099 with 128 GB, €1,094/€1,199 with 256 GB, and €1,202/€1,329 for the 512 GB version.
  • Pixel 9 Pro XL will cost €1,022/€1,199 with 128 GB, €1,202/€1,299 with 256 GB, €1,310/€1,429 with 512 GB, and €1,562/€1,689 for the 1 TB version.

Rumors say that Google will offer free storage upgrades for pre-orders between August 13th and September 3rd.

New artificial intelligence features

It wouldn’t be a Google presentation without new artificial intelligence features. The new Pixel is expected to incorporate Pixel Screenshots, which uses Gemini to help you extract information from your screenshots and initiate searches directly. New interactions with Gemini are also expected, with the ability to ask for help from any screen on the device.

Add Me is one of the most interesting features coming to the Pixel Camera app, which will allow you to add people to photos they were not originally part of. There are also rumors that Google will bring updates to Magic Editor with the ability to replace photo backgrounds through text messages.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 should maintain the same stemless design as their predecessors, but will once again include wingtips for a better fit. They are expected to be available in Charcoal, Porcelain, Aloe, and Hot Pink colors and feature a slightly larger case, which could hide a larger 650 mAh battery.

We haven’t seen much more in terms of specifications, but we expect the sound and ANC to improve. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 should arrive on September 26th for $229. You can also expect to see them bundled with the new Pixel phones.

The Pixel Watch 3 in two sizes

For the first time in its lineup, the Pixel Watch 3 is expected to come in more than one size: a 45mm diameter to accompany the 41mm version. Both will have an almost identical look to the Pixel Watch 2 with round AMOLED displays, but will offer larger panels thanks to the new thinner bezels.

The two new watches will also offer a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits and 60 Hz refresh rates, which is a significant improvement over the 30 Hz panel of the Pixel Watch 2.
