Yahoo!’s beautiful weather app finally gains support for Apple’s iPad devices. Previously, Yahoo! Weather was only available to Android and iOS phones. iPad users could download and run the phone version but it wasn’t optimized to take advantage of higher resolution screens found on tablets. This also gives iPad users a great weather application, which the iPad never came with, though Siri does provide weather information when asked.
Yahoo! Weather for iPad works much the same way as it does on the iPhone, just with a tablet optimized interface. The app still looks great and provides information in an uncluttered way. The app still pulls in Flickr images of the city you’re currently in. While major cities like San Francisco yield beautiful photographs, Yahoo! Weather may show pixelated or poorly shot photos for small cities or towns.
