My husband and I are always trying to find interesting gifts to give our nephews for their birthday - they have so much stuff already... So we try to give educational toys that are really interesting. I know there are a lot out there, but this software is definitely a few notches above the fray. And I think it's because it goes above and beyond what most educational toys do. I found that it provides more information and knowledge than most, and grabs your attention by having you work on all sorts of projects in extremely cool simulated environments. If you're into that sort of stuff, it's a must. More

Google Earth did not seem to really help that much when trying to educate myself about Earth and its history, but it did allow me to explore my neighborhood and far away locations at the click of a mouse. YES! I love that this has an online graphing calculator. This is excellent for those times when my teenager needs a little extra help in math. This program solely focuses on math and science, so if you want an education software program in a different subject this won't do. However, I think everyone can benefit from learning more math. But, I guess I am a bit biased as math was my major in college. More
by Gary Fisher
I wish this had been available when I was in school! It has so many educational tools and much easier than carrying around a big graphing calculator.
by Joseph Perry
Think of this as a graphing calculator on steroids. The graphing capabilities are better than my handheld calculator, and the step-by-step guide on solving equations has assisted me more than I thought it would. Definitely a great tool for the math student. More

Keeping my kids away from electronics is a major fight. I decided instead to use this tech time for learning. I am happy with the way education.com helps me with this. My kid is getting more and more interested in computers. I don't want to stifle this interest but he's far too young to really use it because he's still learning to read. by Yi Tan
This game is allright but a little frustrating. I was not impressed with the graphics but supposedly they are simple so that you can focus on your defense. I would say from an educational perspective this is a good game, but for amusement it is too stressful. I didn't like having to think too hard, so that made it not very fun for me. I could see using this in a classroom setting. More
