Action (10000 programs)
Pros: Additional six sub-factions. Improved visual effects. Updated AI system.
Cons: Limited to two sub-factions per faction.
Pros: A subtle change offers a powerful effect.. Far easier to navigate than the original.. Suitable for people using controllers.. Easier to read than the original..
Cons: If you like the old interface, there is no need to mod.. Minor flavor text is less highlighted.. Some people may not like the condensed text version.. Hit points have been removed..
Pros: Interesting game concept. Highly supports multiplayer gameplay. Host a game.
Cons: Stays on the Connecting screen for a very long time. Some players who joined the game are immobile. Bots are not appearing sometimes. No offline mode.
Pros: Visually there is plenty of new stuff to see.. Adding Gothic and fantasy characters was a natural move.. Dungeons and bosses are a nice addition.. The troop tree was restructured to accommodate the new characters..
Cons: Independent faction motivation is mostly one note.. Many seem like buffed re-skins.. Subtle nuance in faction style has been lost.. Too many new factions may be too much of a good thing..
Pros: Closely recreates early, unreleased builds of Half-Life.. Has multiple areas to explore.. Deleted monsters and weapons are back again..
Cons: Only hardcore fans will see the appeal.. Certain areas remain incomplete.. Some may find the retro-90s graphics too dated..
Pros: Captures the feel of Game Boy classics.. Has an engaging storyline.. Lots of areas to interact with.. Well-written dialogue..
Cons: Some players may dislike the monochrome aesthetic.. Soundtrack gets repetitive.. Ghost story may be creepy for some.. Limited replay value..
Pros: Superb voice-acting. Complex story. Impressively rendered settings. Allows players to choose the gender of the protagonist.
Cons: Heavy on the resources.
Pros: Brings a whole new era to Mount & Blade: Warband.. Includes a range of period-accurate vehicles.. Atmospheric music choices.. Strong battle mechanics..
Cons: Can only be used if you already have Mount & Blade: Warband.. Like the original game, graphics are basic.. Travelling between towns can become tedious.. Purists may object to the move away from medieval settings..
Pros: Textures are far more modern.. A great improvement in graphics.. Extends gameplay and replay ability dramatically.. Very well structured and good looking..
Cons: More money invested could have made this mod worthy of paid DLC.. Not all the new Star Wars heroes are included.. Heroes are great, but are re-skins.. More polish would have made this mod epic..
Pros: Clever re-use of old assets.. Nice puzzle variety.. Is a two-player co-op game.. More content for Half-Life fans..
Cons: Playing in single player is cumbersome.. Cannot save mid-level as a single player.. Will not challenge hard-core players.. Does not innovate..
Pros: There are plenty of unintentionally funny moments throughout the game.. Hearing characters spout nonsense in inappropriate situations is hilarious.. Makes the entire game feel fresh, even to Half-Life veterans.. The randomly translated dialog is fully voice-acted..
Cons: A lot of the translated text simply makes no sense.. The novelty quickly wears off.. You need to know what to do already, as characters intended to give information now spout nonsense.. The humor won't appeal to everyone..
Pros: There are 55 new units.. Each skirmish map has a unique ability.. The balance system changes the game dynamic.. Twenty new special powers..
Cons: New balance features means new game exploits.. Some units are obvious re-skins with hit-point adjustments.. Graphics upgrade would have been nice.. New missions do not innovate..
Pros: Adds an entirely new faction.. The mod is easy to apply.. New weapons greatly enhance gameplay.. Includes unique units..
Cons: Requires both C&C: Generals and the Zero Hour expansion.. Does not include new plot or missions.. Some weapons are overpowered and drastically alter the game balance.. New units have compatibility issues with certain existing units..
Pros: Adds major enhancements to how weapons look and feel.. Tweaks the AI to make combat more exciting.. Adds new audio and graphical effects.. Tweaks and enhances existing weapon effects..
Cons: Creates some minor new bugs in the core game.. Adds no new environments or story elements.. Can negatively impact performance on low-end systems.. Some reload animations take longer than in the original, resulting in the game feeling slower..
Pros: Adds new cars to the existing game.. Implements a proper taxi system.. Adds new safe houses.. Promises more new features..
Cons: Very few stated features are actually implemented.. Seemingly abandoned - not updated from version 0.1a since 2009.. A meager selection of additional cars are available.. No release date is given for an official full release..
Pros: Exhilarating mid-air combat. Can enable unlimited supplies. Has a killstreak leaderboard. Smooth and fluid flying physics.
Cons: In-game models aren’t too polished. Not much variety in the in-game assets.
Pros: Promotes an artist and his original design. Challenging gameplay with the limited stamina. Lots of interesting lore with the scattered notes. Beautifully-designed 3D environment.
Cons: No graphics settings.
Pros: Replicates the real National Videogame Museum. Follows the same Doom II objectives. Includes a tour mode.
Cons: Lacks additional capabilities and weapons.
Pros: Includes manga encyclopedia. Worthwhile rewards for quests. Extensive catalog of characters.
Cons: Limited customization options.
