The Underdogs are a group of four friends and coworkers who have been sharing their adventures with us for some time. After their debut on Apple’s YouTube channel over four years ago, we’ve seen them working from home during 2020 and breaking free from the office to start their own company just a year ago. Now, Apple has released a new video featuring this unique and hilarious team.

What makes a Mac what it is, told in humorous style

Titled “Swiped,” the eight-minute video revolves around the quest to recover a crucial MacBook Air containing a vital Keynote presentation for their business. The computer mysteriously disappears, but they are able to track it across the city using the Find My app’s features.

“The Underdogs are back in action. This time they’re on a mission to save a lost Mac. Fortunately, they have Apple’s powerful security features on their side. Good news for them. Bad, bad news for the bumbling thieves.”

Continuing the Apple at Work series, the Cupertino company uses humor to highlight various features that help Bridget in her adventure. In a short film collection that has even won multiple awards at the Cannes festival.

The ability to share location, Apple Pay, and several mentions of Apple’s device security. The surprise for the thieves, of course, comes when they discover the possibility of tracking the computer’s location. Something they should have paid more attention to from the start, as it’s worth noting that Apple devices can be located even when they’re turned off.

“In any case, it’s a fun reminder of some of the elements that make the Mac what it is. We hope the team can recover the computer with their presentation ready to succeed and continue telling us their adventures.”
