Baldur's Gate 3 is preparing to launch its biggest update to date

Baldur’s Gate 3 is about to receive one of its most ambitious updates. Larian Studios has announced that patch 8 will be officially released on April 15. This patch has been long awaited, as the developers have praised its magnitude, calling it a milestone in the Baldur’s Gate experience. According to Michael Douse, publishing director at Larian, this patch is huge and promises to deliver the “ultimate Baldur’s Gate experience.”

A Mr. Patch

Among the new features that the patch will include are 12 new subclasses, a cross-play mode, and a photography mode. These features have been available for stress testing for several months, allowing players to familiarize themselves with some of their content. The patch notes will be extensive, detailing everything new that will come to the game, with Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian, stating that he has read an impressive 48 pages about it. If there were a Michelin guide for patches, I would give this 3 stars, Vincke expressed in a recent tweet.

In addition to the expected updates, fans continue to speculate about the future of the saga. Astarion, one of the most beloved characters in the game, has expressed his desire to return in a possible sequel, mentioning that he would have to be dead to be replaced. This statement has sparked the curiosity of fans and fueled the conversation about what a new chapter in this classic saga could bring.
