BitTorrent is updating its Android apps today with refreshed designs and more features. The company is also celebrating passing 50 million installations of its Android apps since May 2012.
Both BitTorrent and µTorrent have updated interfaces to increase usability and performance.
The company has also added a few top-requested features including the ability to select and download individual files within a torrent. Users can now choose download locations and tell the program which files to delete after a download is complete. This makes both Android torrent clients work more like its desktop counterparts.
BitTorrent has also updated its desktop µTorrent app with a slightly changed interface and preparations for quicker releases. Version 3.4 of µTorrent also focuses on the BitTorrent Bundle publishing platform. BitTorrent Bundle allows artists to control content distribution and with interactive packages. “Each file becomes more valuable each time its shared,” says BitTorrent.
