Borderlands 4 promises less crude humor. Really, truly!
Do we believe them or have we already learned our lesson with the movie?

Strange times are upon Borderlands. Every comment made about the saga is undeniably linked to the incredible failure in movie theaters this year, and not even the hype for the fourth installment (which does exist) is free from having to explain and appease players who were disappointed with the type of humor in Borderlands 3. So much so, that they have promised to smooth out everything they can.

At the moment, we don’t know much more about the game beyond the trailer at The Game Awards, but its narrative director, Sam Winkler, has given some hints on Twitter: “Borderlands 4 is our most ambitious game. And for that, I’m happy to say that I’ve worked with some of the funniest people I know as writers“. And if you’re imagining toilet humor like in the movie, think again.
In fact, although Winkler has not delved into the secrets and mysteries of the game, he has focused on the search for jokes and the classic humor of the saga. “I don’t have the freedom to talk much about the content of Borderlands 4, but I stand by my criticism of the overabundance of crude humor in the third part. I’m not going to say there aren’t any jokes, but if the word skibidi sneaks into the game somehow, I’m really going to cry.” I don’t know if anyone wanted to see a crossover between Skibidi Toilet and Borderlands, but the good part is that it’s confirmed: it won’t happen. For now.
