We’ve all become reliant on our mobile phones but just how bad is our habit? A new app called Checky tracks how many times per day you check your phone, giving you quantifiable data about your addiction.
Checky is extremely basic; it presents you with the number of times you’ve checked your phone that day. It’ll also show how many times you checked your phone yesterday. There’s also a map showing where you check your phone and how many times at each location. You can then compare scores with your friends to see which one of you would be devastated without a phone.
It would be nice if Checky provided more data about your phone checking habits like which apps you launch the most and which apps you spend the most time using. This is the first version of Checky so there’s a lot of room for improvement.
Checky is available for free for Android and iPhone.
