I remember when I first bought a physical copy of The Last of Us for my PS4. I was such a proud gamer, ready to take on whatever the post-apocalyptic world had to offer me. And now, I can’t believe we’re getting ready for the official TV series on HBO Max, with the first episode airing tomorrow, January 15, 2023. The time is set for 6 pm PST / 9 pm EST.
In case you missed it, I’ve covered everything you need to know about HBO’s The Last of Us already. I’m just so excited about the show, I wanted to make sure you know exactly when and where it will be available to watch.
So, basically, it’s pretty clear that you need to have HBO Max, or Amazon Prime that’s already moving some of the shows over after the acquisition.
The streaming platform is available in most countries, such as USA, Mexico, Denmark, Spain, South Africa, Brazil, and Norway, to name a few.
You can also watch it if you’re in the United Kingdom. However, you’ll be able to see The Last of Us on NOW TV and Sky Atlantic instead of HBO Max. If you’re in the UK or Europe, you’ll probably only see the show appear the next morning.
Each episode will be just over an hour long, which means there’s plenty of time for action and drama. Here’s the schedule for both HBO Max, and Sky Atlanta, but I’m not sure if Amazon Prime will also hold to these times:
- E1 — 15th / 16th January 2023
- E2 — 22nd / 23rd January 2023
- E3 — 29th / 30th January 2023
- E 4 — 5th / 6th February 2023
- E 5 — 12th / 13th February 2023
- E6 — 19th / 20th February 2023
- E7 — 26th / 27th February 2023
- E 8 — 5th / 6th March 2023
- E 9 — 12th / 13th March 2023
While the show isn’t even out yet, The Last of Us adaptation on HBO Max is already being named one of the top game-series adaptations of all time. I wouldn’t be brave enough to lay my coins on the line for such a wager, but I’m interested to see how Bella Ramsey pulls off playing Ellie.
